Architectural Designer

Fieldwork is looking for a design-focused architectural graduate for a role that encompasses a range of tasks focused on design inputs within our project teams from concept through to project delivery. The role specialises in design exploration and research, where you will work alongside our Architects, Projects Architects and leadership team to support the design objectives of our practice. You will play a crucial role in leading the design process, fostering creativity, and maintaining design excellence within our projects.

The Architectural Designer role will be involved in all phases of the architectural design process, from concept through to contract administration on-site. You will undertake site research and analysis, concept design and planning, technical documentation and detailing, and participate in contract administration. You will liaise with external parties including consultants, suppliers, subject matter experts, and clients.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years local industry experience
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
  • Proficiency in architectural software including Archicad, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience working on multi-residential, commercial, education, civic/cultural and mixed-use projects
  • Knowledge of construction design and detailing, planning, NCC (BCA) codes, Australian Standards and authority regulations
  • Full working rights in Australia

Anticipated salary guide: $80 - 90k plus super
