B Corporation

Fieldwork is a certified B Corporation as of mid-2024. Becoming a B Corp represents our commitment to achieve high standards across all aspects of our work, including governance, workplace culture, how we engage with communities, how we support our clients and our design output. We join over 700 other organisations across Australia and New Zealand, and over 9,000 globally who share this aspiration to work toward an economy that benefits all people, communities and the planet. Further information about our certification, and on what it means to be a B Corp, can be found here.

International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)

Fieldwork have been certified under ISO 9001 (Quality Management), 14001 (Environment Management) and 45001 (OH&S Management) since early 2024. Our certified Business Management System includes robust quality assurance procedures, a transparent reporting framework, a regular cycle of review and improvement and genuine consultation to ensure our workplace is inclusive, safe, healthy and welcoming. These certifications are a milestone, not a finish line – a catalyst for ongoing improvement that we are very proud of and will continually work to maintain for the benefit of clients, community and environment.

Carbon Neutral

Fieldwork has proudly maintained carbon-neutral status since late 2022. Each year, an independent third party conducts a comprehensive carbon audit of our operations, assessing energy use, waste, travel (including commutes), and equipment. While our carbon footprint as a professional services provider is relatively small, we remain committed to minimizing it further by partnering with a renewable energy provider, reducing waste, and prioritizing suppliers with positive social and environmental impacts.

For any emissions that cannot be reduced, we invest in high-quality offsets managed through globally recognized verification programs, ensuring both social and environmental benefits.

Our audits are conducted by the Carbon Reduction Institute (CRI), with detailed reports available below. For more information about CRI and other low-carbon organizations, visit the CRI-coordinated Low Carbon Economy website.
