2 St Georges Rd, Fitzroy North
Designed for a corner site in North Fitzroy, this project comprises 26 apartments over four stories with a substantial ground floor retail space.
The design takes a single-loaded corridor apartment plan and wraps it around a central courtyard, allowing for natural light and ventilation.
Cloaked in a mesh veil of operable shutters and screens, the translucent form allows air and natural light to pass freely through all apartments, it shades from the sites intense western facade, and creates privacy towards Nicholson Street.
